Terms of service

The plain terms of buying a piece or commissioning custom work from me.

Last updated September 7, 2026

Who you’re buying from

This shop is Eclectic Witch, a one-person handmade business based in Puyallup, Washington. Reach me any time at EclecticWitchCustoms@gmail.com. Using this site or placing an order means these terms apply to you, so please read them.

Everything here is handmade

Nearly every piece is one of a kind and made by hand, so what arrives will not be a pixel-perfect match for the photo. Grain, colour, stone, bone, and floral pieces all vary, and small differences are the nature of the work rather than a fault.

Photographs are taken as honestly as I can manage, but screens differ, and colour on your monitor may not be colour in your hands.

Pieces are decorative. They aren’t toys, they aren’t child-safe, and several include small parts, wire, or natural materials. Please keep them away from small children and pets.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars. Where a piece has a separate postage figure, it is shown on the listing and added at checkout; where it says shipping is free, the postage is already inside the price.

Payment is processed by Square. Your card details go to Square directly and never reach me. Any sales tax required by law is applied at checkout.

I try hard to keep listings accurate, but if a piece is listed at a plainly wrong price I may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honour an obvious mistake. Prices can change at any time, though never after you have paid.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy, and the order is accepted when I confirm it. Because pieces are one of a kind, occasionally two people reach the same piece at once, or a piece turns out to be damaged in storage. If I can’t fulfil your order I’ll tell you and refund you in full.

Shipping

Pieces ship within 2 to 5 days after the piece is made. That matters for made-to-order work: the clock starts when the piece is finished, not on the day you paid.

Jewelry and sun catchers can ship internationally. Wreaths and Witches Bells can’t, because a number of countries restrict artificial florals and similar materials. International postage is quoted separately rather than shown on the listing, and any customs duties or import charges are yours to pay.

Local pickup or drop-off around Puyallup can be arranged instead of shipping. Full details are on the shipping and returns page.

Returns and refunds

Refunds are issued for pieces that arrive damaged or broken. Send me a photo or video so we can sort it out together. Requests need to reach me within 30 days of delivery.

Because pieces are one of a kind and many are made to order, I don’t offer change-of-mind returns. If something isn’t right, talk to me. Shipping isn’t perfect, and I’m always happy to help repair a piece damaged in transit.

Custom orders

Commissions run on their own terms, set out in full on the custom orders page. The parts worth repeating here:

  • A 20% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins, and it goes toward your final total.
  • I send a photo and video of the finished piece for your approval before it ships. If it isn’t right at that stage, we make it right.
  • Timelines run roughly 2 to 3 weeks for jewelry and smaller sun catchers, 3 to 4 weeks for larger sun catchers, small wreaths, and Witches Bells, and 4 to 6 weeks for large wreaths. Sourcing unusual materials can add to that, and I’ll tell you if it does.
  • Once a commission is finished to the agreed description, it can’t be returned for change of mind. That’s what the approval step is for.

Materials you send me

You’re welcome to supply your own stones, crystals, or keepsakes. Any bones must be ethically sourced, cleaned, and free of bullet holes, and everything you send must be legal to own and to post.

I treat what you send with care, but working with a keepsake carries real risk, and some materials don’t survive being drilled, set, or wired. I’ll tell you honestly if I think a piece is risky before I start. Items sent to me travel at your own risk, so please insure anything irreplaceable.

Photos and designs

The photos, words, and designs on this site are mine. Please don’t copy them for your own shop or listings.

Reference photos you send stay yours. Sending them gives me permission to use them to design and make your piece. I may show the finished work in my portfolio or on social media; if you’d rather I didn’t, just say so and I won’t.

Using this site

Please don’t try to break into it, scrape it, overload it, or use the forms to send anything unlawful. The site is provided as it is, and while I keep it running as best I can, I can’t promise it will never be down.

Liability

My responsibility for any order is limited to what you paid for it. That doesn’t take away any rights the law gives you as a consumer, which stand whatever this page says.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in place on the day you ordered.
